Talking with Strangers

(Alf Myers - Photography) — Mon, 22 May 2023 10:49:37 GMT

]]>Well I've started a project. One to push me beyond my comfort zone. Into the streets and asking random strangers if I can take their photo.

By a stranger I mean that they are completely unknown to me. I've never met them before but I hope they'll let me take their image. I want them to be people on the streets. Not stall holders or street performers. Just people going from one place to another or enjoying the sights.

I also want to spend time talking to them. To get to know them a little and hear their story.

Here are the people who have so far said yes...

]]>Street photography - finding the exciting within the mundane.

Everyday we walk around our towns and cities but rarely looking at what goes by. That fleeting moment, that glance, that moment.... for most unseen or forgotten. For a street photographer, it is our drive to make images that tell the story of our times.

These images provide a artistic view of our world and at the same time documents our times for future generations.
